Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Uncertain contact relationship with the underlying Taxi Fm, because base of the formation is incompletely exposed. Maybe coeval with Bazhan Fm in same region.

Upper contact

Uncertain; the upper boundary is also unclear.

Regional extent

Distributed in the Taxi area of the Nenjiang County and to the South of Handaqi, Daguchuan and Sanzhan areas of the Aihui County. Coeval (uncertain?) with Bazhan Fm of similar facies in same region.

GeoJSON

null

Fossils

The slate in the lower part of the formation yields bivalves represented by Palaeomutela triangularis, P. lunulata, Microdentella and Prilukiella.
